English Entry Test (EET)

Applicants may fulfill AIT’s English proficiency requirement by taking the English Entry Test (EET) or by submitting official scores from recognized English tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic, in accordance with AIT’s English proficiency requirements.

The English Entry Test (EET) is an in-house examination administered by the Language Center. It is standardized by the Language Center and scored on a 0–9 scale. The test is designed to evaluate academic writing skills essential for postgraduate study.

The EET is available exclusively to AIT applicants. Test results are not valid for current AIT students.

Online Exam Requirements 

Before registering for the online exam with the Language Center, make sure you fully understand and can meet ALL requirements below:

  • All test takers must strictly follow the online exam instructions provided by the Language Center.

  • You are fully responsible for your equipment, camera setup, internet connection, and exam environment. These must meet all requirements before the exam day.

  • Improper setup or failure to follow instructions will result in immediate exam termination.

  • In such cases, no refunds, no free rescheduling, and no retakes will be provided.

By registering, you confirm that you understand and accept all online exam requirements.

Writing Task: Academic Essay

You will be required to type a well-structured academic essay on your computer via our online exam platform, based on a general academic topic provided on the exam day. This task assesses your ability to:

  • Develop and organize ideas clearly
  • Support arguments with relevant explanations and examples
  • Use appropriate academic language
  • Manage your time effectively under exam conditions

Format: Type an academic essay

Topic: A general academic topic (provided on exam day)

Platform: Online exam system

Supervision: via ZOOM and online exam platform

Duration: 60 minutes

Recommended Length: The essay should be approximately 500 words; however, the quality and relevance of the content are more important than the exact word count.

EET Result

Your writing score will be sent as a PDF certificate to you and the Admissions Office within 7 days.
No physical copy will be issued.

The score is valid for 2 years from the exam date.

Urgent requests for the online EET may be accepted; however, this option is not recommended due to limited preparation time.

  • Failure to follow exam instructions will result in exam termination with no score.

  • No technical support will be provided on the exam day.

  • No refunds or rescheduling will be offered under any circumstances.
