Equipment and Environment Requirements for taking the Online English Test
Read and follow the test instructions below to ensure you meet all requirements.
No technical support will be provided on exam dayfor installation issues, exam link access, camera problems, or camera setup.
Failure to follow the test instructionswill result in the termination of your exam.You will receive no score, and there will be no refund or free reschedule.
AIT strictly enforces academic integrity.
Any use of grammar aids, AI tools, screen exits, or suspicious behavior will void your exam with no score and no retake. Additionally, your answer will be thoroughly checked for AI usage and plagiarism.
You must complete the following tasks at least 5 days before your exam day.
STEP 1: Ensure You Have the Right Equipment
You will need a laptop with a built-in camera or a desktop computer with a webcam for typing your essay.
Allowed: Only one monitor or screen.
Not Allowed: Tablets, iPads, or mobile devices for typing your essay.
STEP 2: Download and Install the Full-Screen Software
You must install the required full-screen software on your computer before the exam.
On exam day, the proctor will provide the Real Exam Link in the Zoom chat after your camera setup has been approved.
If you encounter installation issues or cannot access the trial exam link, emailLctesting@ait.asiaat least 3 days before your exam. Technical support will not be available after that.
Failure to access the exam link will result in disqualification, withno score, no refund, and no free rescheduling.
STEP 4: Familiarize Yourself with Zoom
Ensure you know how to use Zoom, especially the chat and screen sharing features.

📩You will receive the Zoom Meeting ID in your exam confirmation email after registration.
STEP 5: Camera Setup
Use a phone, iPad, or tablet for your camera setup.
Place your device on a tripod or phone stand to keep it stable.
Position your camera horizontally, not vertically.
Set the camera at a height above your table so that it captures your entire workspace, including your face, computer screen, and keyboard.
Remove all items from your table except your computer, mouse, and keyboard.
STEP 6: Submit Your Camera Setup
Email a photo of your camera setup to LCtesting@ait.asia as soon as possible.
This step is essential to confirm that your camera setup meets the exam requirements.
Failure to follow the test instructions will result in your exam being terminated.
STEP 1: Join the Zoom Meeting & Set Up Your Camera
🔹 Join 30-40 minutes before your test time by entering the Zoom Meeting ID (found in your confirmation email) on both your computer and camera setup device (phone/tablet). The exam room will be locked 10 minutes before the exam time. 🔹 Late arrivals will not be allowed to take the test and will receive no score. 🔹 The proctor must see two videos below from you.
🔹The proctor will send you a message in the Zoom chat instructing you to show your workspace. Failure to follow these instructions will result in the termination of your exam.
🚫 Prohibited During the Exam:
Blurring or using a virtual background.
Having draft paper, electronic devices, books on your table.
Having unacceptable camera setup below.
Unacceptable camera-setup will terminate your exam.
STEP 2: Follow Proctor Instructions in Zoom
Check the Zoom chat on your computer and respond to messages.
You will be asked to show your tabletop, wall, floor, and surrounding area. Your face will be verified. If unclear, you may need to show a national ID card or passport. Once approved, you will join a breakout room.
In the breakout room:
You must share your screen throughout the exam.
Close all grammar and chat applications before starting.
You cannot leave the test area once the exam begins.
You have 60 minutes to type an essay (300 words minimum).
The proctor will monitor you via video—stay visible at all times.
Your exam will be TERMINATED immediately if you:
Use grammar applications.
Exit full-screen mode.
Use draft papers, electronic devices, or online sources.
Use chat applications, speak with someone, or leave the test area.
When finished, click the “Submit” button and exit Zoom. Personal recording devices are strictly prohibited.
