Who Needs to Take EL Courses?
Students with English writing scores of 5.0 or 5.5 are required to take the following mandatory English writing courses.
Completion of these courses is required to fulfill the English requirement for graduation as part of your conditional admission to AIT:
Score 5.0: Enroll in EL15 academic writing course and pass it, then progress to EL19 next-level academic writing course and pass it.
Score 5.5: Enroll in EL19 academic writing course and pass it.
EL students will be automatically charged THB 3,000 for this mandatory course, which will be billed to their student account in the first semester.
If you wish to be exempted and avoid this fee, you must submit a request during your first semester/term. Otherwise, the fee will still apply.

By submitting the exemption request, you acknowledge that you will not participate in the EL course or take the English exam with the Language Center and that you are responsible for providing an approved English test score to meet the graduation requirement.
Objective:
This course helps students master the principles of academic writing, focusing on analyzing and composing cause-effect essays.
Learning Outcomes: Students will learn to:
Identify and analyze cause-effect relationships in academic texts
Write clear thesis statements and logically structured essays
Use academic vocabulary and linking phrases effectively
Apply revision techniques to improve clarity and coherence

This course focuses on analytical writing skills for identifying problems, proposing solutions, and constructing persuasive academic essays.
Learning Outcomes: Students will learn to:
Analyze problems and identify root causes in academic contexts
Propose and justify effective solutions using evidence
Structure essays with clarity and logical flow
Use persuasive academic language and revision strategies
This is a one-time flat fee for new students.
